Itcanbesaidthathyperinflationhasselfperpetuatingtendencies,due tothefactthattheriseinpricesofgoodsandservicesresultstotheriseindemandfornominal cash.

Highratesofinterestwilldeterborrowingandfostersaving,slowingtheeconomyand hencedisinflationaryeffects. TheTreasurybillbytheZimbabwegovernmenthadturnedthe interestratesnegativeandthismanipulationdiscouragedsavingsbythehouseholds.

ThisstudyaimedatfindingthecausesofhyperinflationinZimbabwebyusingtheright econometricmodels. Itsmainaimistofindoutifthegrowthofmoneyhasapositiveeffecton inflation.
